Krewe of Poseidon Slidell Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras in St Tammany Parish is Tuesday, Feb 16, 2021; however, the parades and parties begin early in Jan. This year, the events will take place rain or shine from Jan 9 – Feb 21, 2021. Parking is free, and family-friendly activities are always fun. Catch parades on land as well as on the water sponsored by many groups with the parish.

While various communities in the parish have their parades and fun, many can be found in Slidell leading up to Mardi Gras Day on Feb 16:

• Mystic Krewe of Perseus - Jan 11
• Krewe of Bilge – Jan 30
• Krewe of Poseidon – Jan 30
• Krewe de Paws of Olde Towne – Feb 6
• Mystic Krewe of Titans – Feb 6
• Krewe of Dionysus – Feb 7
• Krewe of Selene – Feb 12

Every event has a theme. For example, the Krewe of Poseidon theme is, "When you wish upon a star." The parade lineup, time, and location will be announced as the event nears. Last year's parades included bands, showgirls, dance groups, and many more. Be sure and check the website for each parish for information updates regarding COVID cancellations or rescheduling.
